Mais je ne suis pas satisfait de l'ourdissoir. La chaîne doit contourner l'extrémité de la barre de croisées, là où elle s'attache aux barreaux verticaux ce qui produit une différence de longueur progressive d'un côté à l'autre de la chaîne. Cette différence passe peut-être inaperçue avec le coton ou la laine mais pas avec le lin. Je suis encore mieux avec un cadre ourdissoir.
À quoi m'a servi cette expérience? À contribuer. Une amie tisserande et une étudiante universitaire en textile ont chacune un métier restauré solide.

Happily, both Leclerc looms have sold in almost no time. As mentioned, my goal was to resell them at cost + repair and keep the warping reel.
But I do not like the reel, or the way the peg board bar attaches to the reel. The warp has to travel around it's end in such a way that causes a progressive length difference between each side of the warp. Maybe not so critical for wool or cotton but definitely bad for linen. I am better off with a warping frame :-(
What was in this deal for me? An occasion to contribute. An experienced weaver friend and a textile university student both now have a solid restored loom :-)
And I still need a GOOD warping reel!
